NOTES

A part of the webcomic The Coming of the Towers, DarkHope is the original concept for the character who later became Light Hope, as described in the Princes Of Power bible: a pair of baleful red eyes, floating in a corridor of infinite darkness (source: Bustatoons' blog).

Here is how DarkHope was envisioned for "The Coming Of The Towers", and her alternate "Dark Shriek" form:

As revealed in page 42, though, one of the First Ones who lived in the Pretheria Age was a giant woman known as DarkHope.
How is she related to the Red Floating Eyes of the present time?

Pretheria DarkHope's appearance is based on Errol McCarthy's "Battle Women".

Alliance: FIRST ONES
Name: DARKHOPE

Before the age of Pretheria, the First Ones came to planet Etheria, bringing guidance to the primitive species which were labouring to rise from their savage status and build the first attempts of social structures.
The First Ones were comprised of different species as well, from indigo elves to rock archons and tetraktyan giants. Darkhope was one of the latter, and she taught a philosophy of pragmatism, symbolized by the impeding darkness at dusk, when the opposite forces of day and night meet, merging in shades.
Darkhope's vision of solving arguments by compromising with the opposite side-- thus building a realistic agreement which can hold and ensure a steady system that will work for some people and ensure some assurances by sacrificing principles and rights-- was the one that led her to make a most disastrous choice during the war against the Snake Women.
A choice that unleashed the cataclysm known as Revelation.
Taken to trial, she was sentenced to disembodied prisony in the Corridor of Infinite Darkness deep within Subtheria.
Aloof, stubborn and calculating to a fault, DarkHope still holds to her beliefs of practical arrangement, and makes plans for the day she'll be able to influence Etheria's people once again, teaching the heroes how to embrace the way of evil in order to defeat their enemy and bring a permanent planetary rule that will enforce their everlasting way on the whole planet.
