The "gulf" between Karnifex's thoughts and Karnifex' dialogue has never been that apparent!
Karnifex doesn't even seem aware that the maid used sex to poison him, even though Giovanni's mind realized that.
Among Karnifex' power, there are resilience and strength. A common human being whose head was crushed like that, would instantly die.
But what happened to Karnifex' strength, right now? Why is the new guy forcing him into submission that easily?
The new guy could be called a rubberman, which means he is the third clue!
